Hello, Lansing. And we aren't talking Michigan. This is a ridiculous miracle of a work shoe from KEEN Utility. New to us in 2018, we decided to bring it in to answer our customers' need for a waterproof, mesh mid-height boot. It is a big demand, and so far the Lansing has stood the test with this light- to medium duty work shoe.
Why we like it. The Lansing sports full grain leather that looks very crisp, along with mesh paneling. The mesh helps the foot breathe because packed into this shoe is a KEEN.Dry waterproof membrane. Despite a steel safety toe cap, the shoe is very light. It does not sound like that should matter, but when you are standing all day for work, shedding extra ounces makes a difference. Cap that upper with reflective features and we have a visible-at-night work shoe with hiking features and metatomical support.
Underfoot: comfort, flexibility, grip. A contoured footbed and midsole offer shock absorption and a stable link between foot and shoe. Find the footbed is worn out and thinning? It is replaceable, so grab a new one from us or your nearby KEEN dealer. A well-channeled sole moves dirt, debris, and liquids out from under you and reduces the chance of slipping. Truthfully, the Lansing is a great option if you are looking for out-of-the-box comfort and need a work shoe to perform in light duty or medium duty work environments.
